
Some facts.
Hanover - Lower Saxony. With 548.200 inhabitants the 13’th biggest city and Capital of the 4’th biggest federal state in Germany. Founded in 1241 resided by House Hanover it has been the dwelling of the Kings of England from George the I. to Queen Victoria. Home to industrial giants like Continental, Preussag, Hanomag, PreussenElektra, DeuragNerag, and Sprengel it was heavily bombed by RAF and USAAF in WW II. and destroyed by 90%.
Today it is residence to two DAX40 companies Continental and HannoverRE, TUI the largest travel and tourist company in the world, Rossmann, Bahlsen, Volkswagen, Sennheiser and an insurance centre with TALANX, VHV and HDI.
With EXPO 2000 it became an international tradefare hub, the HANNOVER MESSE is still the biggest industrial tradefare worldwide visited yearly by the heads of state.
As one of the greenest citys in Germany it’s “green lung” - the Eilenriede is a 640ha large forest right in the city centre.
The 78ha lake Maschsee is artificial and was build in 1933 by the NSDAP to deal with “flooding” i.e. unemployment rates. In 2025 we use it for sailing, rowing and the annual Maschseefest with 2Mio partying visitors.
Roundtable 7, 77, 117, 197 are based in Hanover - making it a focal point of Roundtable Germany aswell.
